![]() ![]() We have every farm animal you can think of, ranging from small pet mice up to the big bull and everything in between. We have a large variety of friendly farm animals, most of which have been hand raised on the farm. We aim to provide a fun and educational experience for children and parents. Over the past 26 years we have gained a great deal of knowledge on both animals and children. Golden Ridge has had many vast improvements and upgrades in the last 5 years and still more planned to make this an even greater place to visit. Golden Ridge Animal Farm is a fully family owned business that has been operated by the Nye family for over 26 years and run by Alisa Nye for the past 10 years. One of the few farms left in Sydney where kids and parents alike can have a fun day out on a farm We finished off the day by exploring the farm and visiting other animals discussing its classification, appearance, diet, habitat and interesting facts.Agriculture Company Party Entertainment Venue Educational Organization Students also fed the goats milk and learnt about the different animals that require milk to grow. ![]() They were very curious and were listening intently about how to hold some of the farm animals. Bel discussed and showed the students’ ducks, chickens and rabbits. Kindergarten walked back up to our area where they were introduced to some ‘furry friends’. Kindergarten were very brave at trying a new experience of milking and petting a cow! Well done Kindy! The students showcased their knowledge of what they already knew and impressed everybody with their responses. Students had the opportunity to milk Sally the cow and were extremely engaged to learn more information about cows. They were fantastic at listening to and following instructions! Kindergarten were ‘naturals’ at taking care of the goats as they held out their palms and fed the goats and petted them gently. ![]() The students were impatiently waiting to run around and play with the goats. ![]() Once we arrived at the farm our tour guide, Bel, informed us that we were going to visit the goats to have a play and feed them some grass. They were very keen to hop on the bus and see the animals we have been learning and writing about in class. They were super excited as it was their very first excursion attending with their peers and teachers. On Friday 19th of August, Kindergarten attended Golden Ridge Animal Farm in Dural. ![]()
